This is more than an energy challenge.
It is a transformational ritual to reshape the body, reconnect with solar energy, and return to inner strength.
Through the flow of breath and movement, rediscover lasting focus, strength, and calm.
Let the body grow steady and strong through breath.
Let the mind become focused and fulfilled through movement.
Sun Salutations, or Surya Namaskar, are an ancient yoga sequence passed down for generations.
In ancient India, warriors practiced this sequence at sunrise to honor the sun — the source of light, energy, and life.
Through the practice, they awakened the body’s strength and inner vitality.
The practice of Sun Salutations is also a form of surrender. As we bow to the sun in nature, we also reconnect with the inner sun within us — our deeper source of energy and self-awareness.
Yoga masters believe that the ideal Sun Salutation practice begins with the first morning light touching the solar plexus, the area around the navel.
In yogic philosophy, the solar plexus is connected with intuition and inner perception.
With regular practice, Sun Salutations are believed to help sharpen awareness and deepen sensitivity.
The Inner Reset Code of 108
In Indian and yogic tradition, 108 is seen as a sacred number connected with wholeness and cosmic energy.
Completing 108 Sun Salutations is like a moving meditation, bringing a reset across body, energy, and mind.
Rebuild Inner Heat
Through continuous flowing movement, the body gradually warms from within, building strength and resilience.
Awaken Digestion & Metabolism
As the core warms and muscles engage, the practice helps activate energy flow and support the body’s natural metabolic rhythm.
Quiet Mental Noise
Through repeated movement, the mind begins to release distraction and return to the rhythm of breath and motion.
Strength & Flexibility
Sun Salutations combine forward folds, backbends, support, and stretching to train the core, arms, legs, and back while improving flexibility and mobility.
Circulation & Oxygen Flow
When breath and movement work together, the practice supports circulation and oxygen exchange, helping the body feel more awake and energized.
Metabolism & Body Toning
The continuous flow of Sun Salutations is active and energy-demanding, helping support metabolism, fat burning, and full-body toning.
Nervous System & Stress Relief
Steady breathing and repeated movement help the body enter rhythm, calm the nervous system, release stress, and return to balance.
Focus & Inner Strength
108 Sun Salutations are not only physical practice, but also mental training. Each breath and movement builds focus, endurance, and inner steadiness.
Emotional Release & Self-Awareness
Long, rhythmic practice helps release stored tension and emotions, while deepening awareness of the body and inner state.
Vinay Kumar- One of India’s Youngest Yoga Masters
Legendary Journey
Vinay Kumar began learning Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga at the age of 7. He competed in countless yoga competitions and won five All India champion of champions titles. Known as a true yoga prodigy, he began teaching yoga at the age of 12.
Founder of Prana Vashya Yoga
At 17, he founded the Prana Vashya Yoga system and became one of the youngest yoga masters in India. His school in Mysore, South India, was later recognized by Vogue India as one of the top yoga schools in the country, attracting students from Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
Core Philosophy
Vinay Kumar developed Prana Vashya Yoga with breath control as its foundation. The goal is not to perform difficult poses, but to adjust the rhythm of the heart and body through breath, supported by posture practice. This helps students build strength, flexibility, balance, and deeper control over their own body and life. It is not a path of performance, but a path toward inner steadiness and peace.
Nina has practiced and taught yoga for over 15 years.
Since 2008, she has returned regularly to the Prana Vashya Yoga headquarters in Mysore, India, for intensive training, staying 1 to 5 months each time.
The training included traditional teaching methodology, 50 hours of pranayama practice, and 100 hours of backbend training.
She has since accumulated intensive practice, including over 500 hours in PV Yoga Level 1 and 2, over 300 hours in pranayama, and over 500 hours in backbend training.
Since 2014, Nina has served as a yoga teacher and yoga event curator at the American Club Taipei (ACC).
She has hosted multiple workshops with Master Vinay Kumar in Taipei, and led large-scale Light Yoga events that connect in-person practice with live online teaching from India.
Since 2023, Nina and her team have launched a professional seed teacher training program.
Her teaching comes from her own early practice experience, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and frustrations students may face along the way.
Nina believes that by correctly combining breath and movement, students can learn to activate unfamiliar muscles, improve body alignment, and build healthy breathing habits — growing safely and steadily in their yoga practice.
